CONCLAVE 2011

We are organizing a conference on Intellectual Property Rights at our Hegde Nagar campus on the 13th of May, 2011. More details about this conference titled CONCLAVE 2011 as provided by Kartik Chandola in the FB page are as follows


Manipal University (Media and Entertainment) has taken an initiative to make everyone aware about the IPR(Intellectual Property Rights).

We are organizing a confrence on IPR on 13th of May 2011 inviting the Media Corporates, Students and other corporates. IPR is a very crucial topic to understand whether it is Media industry or any other industry. 


The conference is an intiative taken by Manipal University to make people aware about the issues related to IPR which includes copyright issues, trademarks and geographical indicators so that people can become aware about all the issues which are being faced by the industries.

This conference is an initiative or I would rather say an awareness programme to make the industry people aware about the "Intellectual Property Rights" to avoid hassels related to IPR issues.The conference is known as "CONCLAVE 2011".

I really appreciate the initiative taken by the University and hope that it will be a grand success and such kind of initiatives will also be taken by the University in future because these initiatives are not just about organizing a conference but it is about providing awareness about the issues that people are facing in the industries these days.


Hoping that this event turns out to be a grand success and an informative one too.

Cyclothon was an energetic experience ...

Hi folks

The Cyclothon, that was planned and organized at such a short notice by Sambit and team was a refreshing experience.

The day started off very early and the cyclothon kicked off at around 7am and it more than made up for the lost sleep

Many enthusiastic participants cycled their way to happiness. The Go Green team was also in attendance and had a couple of nice messages to share in the valedictory function.

On the whole, the 6km route Koramangala to Kanteerava stadium was a decent enough challenge for amateur cyclists like yours truly. The sign of the finish line was a satisfactory experience.

After the race, the police force were lauded for the efforts and the 2 chief guests from the Kannada cine industry did their share of clichéd speeches. They also posed for a lot of photos and gave some cycling trials for the sake of the media.

Our director was visibly happy with the results and the vote of thanks by Sambit was a nice speech indeed

On the whole it was a nice day for all the enthusiastic people who turned up
